Warren Douglas Allmon

Summary Warren Allmon has been Director of PRI since 1992. His primary research interest is evolution and ecology of Cenozoic mollusks of the Western Atlantic region, specifically the gastropod family Turritellidae. Allmon studies the relationship between faunal and environmental change, especially patterns of origination and extinction. Allmon's research has been supported by NSF (EAR-9116330 and EAR-9218583), the Petroleum Research Fund of the American Chemical Society, and the American Philosophical Society.
