Warren Allmon received his AB from Dartmouth College in 1982 and his PhD from Harvard University in 1988. From 1988 to 1992 he was Assistant Professor of Geology at the University of South Florida in Tampa. He became PRI's fourth Director in September, 1992. Allmon's research interests include the evolution of Cenozoic and Recent gastropods, especially the family Turritellidae, and general problems of macroevolution, especially speciation and the origin of biological diversity. Allmon is also Adjunct Associate Professor of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences

M. Ross, Associate Director for Outreach

Rob came in to PRI in
March 1997, and is now our Associate Director for Outreach, giving our educational
programs guidance and direction. Rob received his PhD from Harvard University
in 1990, spent two years doing paleoceanography at the University of Kiel
in Germany, and 4 1/2 years on the Faculty of Science at Shizuoka University
in Japan.
