Bulletins of American Paleontology Begun
in 1895, Bulletins of American Paleontology is the oldest paleontological
journal published in the western hemisphere. It publishes peer-reviewed
monographic works in any area of paleontology, especially descriptive
systematics requiring high-quality photographic illustrations, although
occasional multi-author or other special issues also appear. Publication
is open to anyone regardless of institutional affiliation. A one-year
subscription includes 2-3 issues. Click

Genus Heliophyllum (Anthozoa, Rugosa) in the Upper Middle
The rugose coral genus Heliophyllum is one of the most common and famous fossils in the very fossil-rich Devonian rocks of central and western New York State, but its systematics have remained confusing for more than a century. Bill Oliver and Jim Sorauf are two of the world's preeminent experts on Paleozoic corals. They have each spent more than 40 years studying Devonian corals, especially in New York. This volume brings together the results of their careers of research and experience with this abundant but puzzling genus. Anyone who has ever collected a Devonian fossil coral in New York or Michigan or Ontario or who is interested in coral evolution, will benefit from this beautifully illustrated work. 72

Compendium of Fossil Marine Animal Genera
The
late Jack Sepkoski changed the field of paleontology by pioneering the
use of compliations of taxonomic data to explore major patterns in the
history of life. This volume makes publicly available for the first time
Sepkoski's famous compliation of more than 37,000 genera of marine fossil
animals. It is a landmark of modern science and a key tool for all paleobiologists.
