Add some beach sand and shells to the screen...

...about one or two small shovels full will be enough. Sift out the sand by shaking the screen box back and forth. This is easily done when the sand is completely dry. If the sand is moist or wet, you must shake the screen while holding it in shallow water (remember the metal screen may rust with frequent exposure to salt water).
