Crinoid "runners" |

Large crinoid stems, like those above, are commonly seen within the Tichenor Limestone and overlying Deep Run Shales at Kashong Glen. These stems snake up and down through individual beds of limestone, in a roughly horizontal fashion. Sometimes small coral and bryozoan fossils encrust the upper surface of these stems. They appear to represent "runners" which connect to vertically oriented crinoid stems.
