Become a Citizen Scientist with CoCoRaHS

Apr 5 | 1 - 2pm
Cayuga Nature Center

The New York State Coordinator for CoCoRaHS, Samantha Borisoff of Cornell University, will lead a training session at the Nature Center so you can learn how to collect data, how meteorologists use your data, and why your contribution is so valuable. No pre-registration is required. This is a free event.

CoCoRaHS is a unique, non-profit, community-based network of volunteers of all ages and backgrounds working together to measure and map precipitation (rain, hail and snow). By using low-cost measurement tools, stressing training and education, and utilizing an interactive Web-site, the network's aim is to provide the highest quality data for natural resource, education and research applications. CoCoRaHS is now in all fifty states.

For questions, please contact Samantha Borisoff at sgh58@cornell.edu or (607) 255-7109.
