Does Biodiversity Change? Is Biodiversity Changing Now? Biodiversity Loss and Humans
Future for Biodiversity What if Loss Occurs? What Can Be Done? Biodiversity Hotspots
Biodiversity is one of the most important and visible parts of the climate system. Biodiversity includes you and as well as all of the plants and animals currently alive on the planet or that have gone extinct, from grass and insects to cats, dogs, and dinosaurs.

Humans affect biodiversity through our actions; we cut down trees, which are the habitat of other creatures, and we hunt and fish, among many other things. Human activity is also affecting biodiversity more and more indirectly, through our effects on global climate.
