Through our public venues for education, the Museum of the Earth, the Cayuga Nature Center, and Smith Woods, the Paleontological Research Institution pursues and integrates education and research, and interprets the history and systems of the Earth and its life, to increase knowledge, educate society, and encourage wise stewardship of the Earth.

Explore Earth and its prehistoric past—from the tiniest trilobites to the mighty mastodon—through engaging and interactive displays, hands-on features, stunning fossils, and science-inspired art.

Located on 100 acres of land overlooking Cayuga Lake, the Cayuga Nature Center cultivates awareness, appreciation, and responsibility for the natural world.

Henry A. Smith Woods is a 32-acre old-growth forest located in Trumansburg, New York preserved in its natural state for educational, conservation, and recreational purposes.
