Camps at the Cayuga Nature Center

The Cayuga Nature Center provides an opportunity for nature enthusiasts of all ages to learn about environmental and outdoor education in a fun and engaging way through the camps we offer for young people during the year. To get full information about Nature Center camps, visit Camp on the Nature Center section of the website. Below are brief summaries.

School’s Out! – February

Come discover why winter is a great time to enjoy the outdoors! We will stretch our legs with some snowy treks, construct a cozy ice cave, learn how our native wildlife survives and thrives in the cold, and warm up inside after we have some fun on our sledding hill. Join us for some winter-themed adventure! Full information is available here

School’s Out! – April

We’ll shake off the winter chills as we defrost with some early spring activities. Campers will get to lend a hand in making maple syrup, help us start seeds for our summer gardens, and search the woods for signs of waking wildlife. Come spring into the outdoor action with us! Full information is available here

Summer Camp

The Cayuga Nature Center summer day camp has been a staple of our educational outreach to the community since its establishment in 1986. Our curriculum approaches learning by integrating hands-on exploration, active game playing, and facilitating conditions for self-discovery of the many wonderful things to be found in our natural world. For the latest information, visit the Summer Camp part of the Nature Center website. Full information about the summer camp is available here.
