Under Siege: Marine Life vs. the Gulf Oil Spill

Under Siege logo.png

In April 2010, an explosion on the Deepwater Horizon oil drilling rig southeast of the Louisiana coast killed eleven crewmembers and caused the largest marine oil spill in United States’ history. PRI has research programs on conservation paleobiology, biodiversity, and paleontological history of the Gulf Coast area and PRI research monitored the area after the spill. Under Siege explains the impacts for the spill on the marine ecosystems.

A pdf of Under Siege has been made in association with recent redesign of the PRI website.
